ITF-14 Reader & Scanner, answered.

If you manage servers by hand, see the engineering services behind this tools series.

ITF-14 or Identcode — which did I scan?

A checked ITF payload matching Deutsche Post rules is classified as an Identcode (11+check) or Leitcode (13+check) profile; anything else reports as plain ITF-14.

Why do odd digit counts fail?

Interleaved 2 of 5 encodes digit pairs, so payloads need an even count — add a leading zero and the symbol decodes.

Why did my carton code fail to read?

Corrugated board kills contrast: light evenly, step back so the wide bars and bearer frame are sharp, and avoid shadows across the symbol.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Pixels and decoded payloads stay in memory on this device. The page makes no network requests with your data and clears the result after ten idle minutes.
