Is my label data uploaded anywhere?
No. Field validation, symbol rendering and the scan self-check all run entirely in your browser — the page makes no network requests with your data and stores nothing. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools or disconnect from the network after the page loads.
Does this replace my customer's label specification?
No. This tool implements the public VDA 4994 Global Transport Label field rules plus the published ZF LIFETEC Europe minimum content. Always confirm the finished label against your customer's packaging data sheet and DESADV message — customer overlays (Bosch, ZF plants, Ford, GM) can add mandatory fields.
How does the scan self-check work?
Both symbols are rasterized and decoded again on your device: the Code 128 must read back the exact package ID, and the Data Matrix must contain the GTL3 specification marker, part number and plate. A mismatch blocks nothing but is shown plainly — do not print a label that fails it.
What should I print on?
High-contrast black on white with a laser printer: minimum 160 g/m² for insert labels, 80 g/m² for adhesive stock, moisture-resistant and easy to remove on returnable containers. Remove all obsolete labels before applying the new one.
Which postal and parcel codes are supported?
